We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Sterilisation Manager to join our CSSD Team on a Full-time basis.

About us

">

Newcastle Private Hospital is a 189 bed, acute, private hospital facility co-located on the John Hunter Campus at Rankin Park. We have 11 theatres including a hybrid theatre and a 15 bed Intensive Care Unit.

">

We also have a cardiac suite including a cardiac catheter laboratory and a 16 bed Coronary Care Unit. Our private maternity suite includes 6 birthing suites and a special care baby nursery for families in the Newcastle region.

Our Oncology Centre provides specialty care for individuals and their families/carers undergoing all aspects of cancer treatment and care with both an inpatient unit and day infusion lounge.

Your Responsibilities

">

You will attend the operational management of the current CSSD Department within the Perioperative Services area, advocating for our Quality Management System and promoting a safe work environment.

">

You will support your team to achieve a streamlined operational management, meeting relevant standards and best practices consistent with the CSSD specialty area.

Essential Criteria

">
  1. ">
  2. A minimum of 3 – 5 years' experience working in a senior role within a CSSD.">
  3. Certificate III or IV in Sterilisation.">
  4. Solid knowledge of accreditation standards ACHS/AS/NZ 4187 Standards and HICMR.">
  5. Demonstrated leadership ability and the capacity to work with a wide range of people in a team environment.">
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.">
  7. Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.">
  8. Intermediate computer literacy skills - including MS office and various data bases.">
  9. An interest in promoting best practice patient care.">
  10. A focus on professional development.">

Salary Estimate

">

The salary estimate for this position is around AU$80,000 - AU$120,000 per annum, based on industry standards and location.
