About the Role

Calvary Care is seeking a skilled Clinical Coding Auditor/Educator to join their National Revenue Team. As a key member of this team, you will play a pivotal role in integrating education, quality, and operational needs into a reliable centralized point for the National Coding Team.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ICD-10-AM coding, documentation improvement, and health fund contract compliance. You will be responsible for developing and delivering coding education and training programs, revenue optimization, and providing advice on specific coding, Casemix, and DRG-related matters.

This full-time or part-time opportunity offers flexible working arrangements, with occasional travel required to various Calvary facilities across Australia. You will work closely with clinical staff to provide guidance on coding, Casemix, and documentation matters, ensuring accurate and compliant data submission.

Main Duties

  • Coding Education and Training: Develop and deliver coding education and training programs to ensure high-quality coding practices throughout the organization.
  • Audit and Education Cycles: Coordinate audit and education cycles to identify areas for improvement and optimize revenue.
  • Health Fund Auditing: Participate in health fund onsite and remote auditing programs to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Casemix and Documentation: Support the Revenue Cycle team in assessing Casemix variations, audit queries, and implementing process improvements.

About You

  • Qualifications: Clinical Coding qualification or a degree in Health Information Management/Medical Record Administration (or equivalent experience).
  • Postgraduate Qualification: Clinical Coding auditing.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of demonstrated excellence in Clinical Coding using ICD-10-AM across a broad casemix, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel and work interstate across all Calvary Private Hospital sites.

Salary Estimate: AU$90,000 - AU$110,000 per annum, depending on experience.
