\Database Administration Role\

This is a demanding opportunity for an experienced Database Administrator to oversee the performance and availability of our SQL Server estate in Sydney.

\Key Responsibilities:\
  • \
  • Manage production and non-production environments for core trading and reporting systems\
  • Implement proactive monitoring and performance tuning strategies\
  • Collaborate with development teams to provision masked, production-like datasets\
  • Automate recurring DBA tasks and develop tools for operational efficiency\
  • Support migration and modernisation projects aligned with global data strategy\\
  • Ensure data security by implementing TDE encryption and maintaining proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell scripting\\
  • Utilise git-based source control systems and Always-On High Availability solutions\\
  • Develop evolutionary database designs and implement DevOps processes\
    • \Requirements:\
      • \
      • 5+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server DBA\
      • Strong technical skills combined with excellent communication abilities\
      • Proven automation experience and knowledge of evolutionary database designs\
      • Hands-on experience with Always-On High Availability solutions, database backup, recovery, and performance tuning expertise\
      • Security implementation including TDE encryption, proficiency in T-SQL and PowerShell scripting, experience with git-based source control systems\
