About the Role

This is an exceptional opportunity to take on a challenging role as an Employee Relations Specialist in our Performance, Reward and Governance team at Australian Retirement Trust.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and advise the People & Culture team and the organisation on complex ER issues, including performance, discipline, injury and illness, long term absence, restructuring, terminations, disputes, complaints and investigations.
  • Develop practical solutions to complex queries, drawing upon detailed understanding of employment law, operational priorities and people management.
  • Conduct investigations and/or brief external providers as needed.
  • Represent the organisation at tribunals and the Fair Work Commission.
  • Assist with the negotiation and implementation of Enterprise Agreements and provide advice to the People & Culture team and Leaders across the organisation to ensure compliance with, and consistent application of, Enterprise Agreements.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have strong communication skills and experience working in a legal environment or employee relations specialist role within a medium to large organisation.

  • Case management experience and demonstrated ability to engage and influence key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
  • Exposure to Enterprise Agreement negotiation and implementation for a medium to large organisation.
  • Highly developed knowledge of employment legislation and ability to conduct legal research.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Law, Human Resources, or another related field.

Australian Retirement Trust offers a competitive salary, estimated at $85,000 - $115,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
