Aboriginal Community Child Health Nurse

Job Overview:
This role involves providing direct patient contact and clinical support in Maternal and Child Health, including immunizations, development and maternal screening, and parenting advice.
The successful candidate will provide health promotion and quality improvement initiatives to enhance Indigenous health in our communities.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient contact and clinical support in Maternal and Child Health
- Develop and implement health promotion initiatives to enhance Indigenous health
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality healthcare services
Requirements:
- Registered nurse or EEN with immunization qualification or willingness to obtain
- Certified midwife or willing to obtain Midwifery certification
- Accredited Child and Family Health Certificate
- Immunization accreditation or willingness to obtain
- Effective communication skills
- Commitment to Primary health care principles
- Understanding of issues impacting Aboriginal communities
