We are seeking an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join our team in Sydney. As a key member of our highly collaborative and multi-talented Tech Support organisation, you will play a critical role in resolving challenging issues for our partners and customers.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for excellence and strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop subject matter expertise and collaborate with other team members in various technologies.

This is a customer-facing role that requires flexibility during non-standard business hours, including weekends and holidays on a rotational basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Owning and resolving technical cases created by customers seeking help to understand or resolve unexpected behavior or answer technical questions about software and platforms.
  • Implementing, maintaining, or providing support in 2 or more core competency areas: web-based products or e-commerce, dynamic HTML components (AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, XML, HTML, XHTML), Java or similar backend programming languages, ITSM practices (incident, problem, and change management as well as knowledgebase management, defect & escalation management).

Requirements:

  • At least 2-4 years of customer-facing technical/application support/web support experience, preferably in web-based products or e-commerce.
  • Strong ability to troubleshoot difficult technical issues.
  • Familiarity with dynamic HTML components (AJAX, JavaScript, CSS, XML, HTML, XHTML).
  • Familiarity with Java or similar backend programming languages.
  • Good understanding of ITSM practices.
