Flood Warning Network Specialist

Job Opportunity:
We are seeking highly skilled professionals to play a key role in addressing critical risks within Australia's flood gauge network.
About the Role:
- Develop and mentor staff to enhance field team performance
- Lead field teams with strong leadership abilities
- Collaborate with experts to acquire, upgrade and integrate rain and river gauges into the existing flood warning system
- Support disaster preparedness, response and recovery by providing communities and emergency services with accurate riverine flood forecasts and warnings
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to improve the flood warning network infrastructure
- Mentor and develop staff skills to enhance team efficiency
- Collaborate with experts to ensure seamless integration of local government-owned and state government-owned rain and river gauges
- Provide expertise to support disaster preparedness, response and recovery efforts
