The Bureau of Meteorology has developed a customer-focused, integrated and resilient national operation through the Community Services Group (CSG).

Our Flood Operations function plays a critical role in providing timely information to support flood warnings and emergency responses. We work closely with stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of water services that meet public safety requirements and obligations under the Water Act.

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing expert advice on flood forecasting systems
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including emergency management agencies and local authorities
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the Bureau to integrate flood operations with other functions, such as water forecasting and information management
