The Assistant Director of Sales is a key role within the hotel's sales team, responsible for supporting the Director of Sales and Marketing in achieving the overall sales and revenue objectives. Key Responsibilities:
  • Sales Strategy Development: Assist in developing sales strategies, managing key accounts, and building long-term client relationships to achieve revenue targets and business objectives.
  • New Business Opportunities: Identify new business opportunities, maintain a prospect pipeline, and conduct presentations and negotiations to close deals.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, coach, and support the sales team, ensuring they meet individual and team targets while assisting in recruitment, training, and performance enhancement.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Events, Operations, and Revenue Management teams to align sales efforts and pricing strategies with overall business goals.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare sales reports, track KPIs, adjust strategies, and provide insights to senior management to ensure revenue targets are met.
  • Industry Representation: Represent the hotel at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to promote the property and generate leads.
  • Sales Trips and Meetings: Organise and participate in sales trips, client meetings, and promotional activities to enhance the hotel's visibility and attract new business.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the hospitality or hotel industry, with at least 1-2 years in a managerial role.
  • Skills: Proficiency in hotel management and CRM software, strong knowledge of sales techniques, market analysis, and customer relationship management.
  • Leadership and Communication: Excellent communication and negotiation skills, strong leadership and team management abilities, strategic thinking with a focus on achieving results.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
