HR Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced HR professional to support our global People function. This is a hands-on, diverse role covering all facets of HR operations for our Australia-based employee group in a fast-paced, international organisation.

As a key member of the HR team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining HR philosophies, policies and procedures that align with company culture and values.

You will provide responsive service to customer requests, offering advice, counsel and documentation as needed. You will manage organisational and role changes from design through to delivery, ensuring accurate documentation and system updates.

Additionally, you will ensure timely enrolment to benefits plans and portals for new hires, changes and leavers. You will contribute to the implementation and ongoing improvement of our global HRIS.

Other responsibilities include overseeing compliance matters such as mandatory training, document checks and sign-off. You will work proactively with leaders to understand their needs and drive business growth through people.

Deliver education and training as needed, such as annual review processes and legislative updates. Broker relationships between HR Operations and other parts of the People function.

Ensure inclusivity, legal compliance and consistency with company culture and values in all processes. Bring the Australian perspective to discussions and contribute to initiatives feeding into our ambitions.

Key Requirements:

  • A proven track record of generalist Human Resources practice looking after an Australia-based workforce.
  • Broad knowledge of Australia-based employment, compensation, organisational planning, employee relations and training and development.
  • Ability to work independently across the full generalist spectrum.
  • Proficient in Australian payroll principles and attention to detail for administrative aspects of HR.
  • Experience of working in a growth-related change environment.
  • Desire to maintain effective working relationships with managers, employees and outside agencies.
