Job Title: Clinical Retrieval Specialist

Job Summary:

Ambulance Victoria is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Retrieval Specialist to join our team. As a Clinical Retrieval Specialist, you will be responsible for providing advanced clinical care during acute inter-hospital transfers of critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Respond to requests for assistance in transporting critically ill patients between hospitals, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with receiving units at destination hospitals regarding patient condition.
  • Ensure accurate and relevant patient documentation is recorded during retrieval missions and completed in accordance with Ambulance Victoria policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders to facilitate a safe and seamless service to the community.
  • Attend training, orientation courses, quality, and staff meetings as required.

About the Role:

This is a full-time, fixed-term appointment for 6 months, starting in August 2025. The successful applicant will be a legally qualified medical practitioner registered in Victoria, possessing appropriate medical qualifications (MBBS or equivalent) and having completed or currently completing advanced training with ACEM, ANZCA, or CICM.
