Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Liaison Specialist to join our team at Wavemaker, C/o Finance Plus. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive and integrated mental health services to older persons in rural and remote areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement mental health care pathways for older persons in rural and remote areas
  • Provide specialist older persons care services via distance consultation, information, and advice
  • Facilitate access to older persons telepsychiatry services and inpatient admissions
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to provide preventative, early intervention, treatment, and evaluation approaches
  • Contribute to the clinical supervision of less experienced allied health professionals, allied health assistants, and students

Requirements:

  • Hold a degree or equivalent qualification in Psychology, Occupational Therapy, or Social Work
  • Registration with the relevant professional association
  • Eligibility for registration as a Mental Health Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia
  • Current practicing certificate
  • Relevant postgraduate qualification in Mental Health practice
  • Highly effective communication skills, including problem-solving, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills
