The role of Field Education Liaison Officer reports to the Field Education Coordinator. Primary responsibilities include:

- Providing oversight to Social Work students undertaking their field placement.

- Consulting with students and staff about learning goals and assessment processes.

- Being an integral part of a global Christian learning community that aims to make a better world through active participation.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to provide support for students undertaking field education components of study which evaluates students' ability to integrate theory to practice, critically reflect, understand and respond to diverse needs and situations, and to practise creatively.

Selection Criteria

">

We are looking for someone who has:

- Eligible for full membership of the AASW.

- A minimum five years full-time post-qualifying practice experience.

- Clinical or practical supervision experience.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

">

You will need to have:

- An understanding of current and emerging trends in Social Work and training.

- The ability to communicate and work effectively and cooperatively with colleagues from diverse cultural, religious, gender and socio-economic backgrounds.

- A keen awareness of issues impacting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander individuals and communities in various contexts, and the ability to support student learning and engagement with these diverse populations.
