Job Title:

Field Education Coordinator

About the Role:

This position is responsible for providing professional leadership and support for field placements within social work degrees.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Placement Management: Oversee all systems for coordinating field placements, build and maintain relationships with community and government organizations to secure diverse opportunities for students.
  • Student and Staff Support: Recruit, train, and support Academic Liaison Visitors to ensure they are well-equipped for their roles.
  • Quality & Compliance: Collaborate with academic staff to develop policies and resources, maintain records of student performance, and assess applications for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
  • Leadership & Development: Attend key meetings, complete required reporting, and engage in scholarly practice and professional development.
Education, Experience & Skills:
  • Eligibility for AASW membership.
  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Social Work with a minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience.
  • Experience supervising social work students on field placements.
  • Knowledge of higher education requirements and AASW standards.
  • Knowledge of contemporary social work practice and teaching methods.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, interpersonal, and group facilitation skills.
