About The Role

This campus-based role is crucial for ensuring Community Services students gain high-quality practical experience. You will oversee and coordinate all aspects of fieldwork placements for the Bachelor of Community Services program, from procurement and establishment to assessment, ensuring placements meet academic and professional accreditation standards.

  • Providing essential support and guidance to students, agency supervisors, and host organizations throughout the placement process.
  • Collaborating with academic staff and the Work Placement Team to develop policies, administer agreements, oversee student records, and maintain academic standards.
  • Designing and delivering preparation workshops for students, and recruiting, training, and supporting Academic Liaison Visitors.
  • Fostering a positive culture, upholding Ikon's values, ensuring regulatory compliance (AQF, CWA, ESOS, National Code), and engaging in professional development and reporting.

Education, Experience & Skill
  • A Bachelor Degree or higher in Social Work, Community Services, Social Welfare, or Human Services, and a minimum of 3 years relevant post qualification industry experience.

  • Advanced problem-solving, organisational, and analytical abilities, including the capacity to manage multiple tasks, prioritise effectively, and meet competing deadlines with accuracy, attention to detail, and a proactive approach.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the accreditation requirements, Code of Ethics and Practice Guidelines of Community Work Australia (CWA).
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of programs and demonstrated ability to learn, implement and promote the use of business systems and databases
