Landside Operations Manager

About the Position
We are thrilled to present an exceptional opportunity for a Landside Operations Manager to become a vital part of our expanding team.
In this role, you will oversee the transport operations team, ensuring that safety, customer satisfaction, and commercial objectives are achieved. You will be accountable for the daily operations managed by the Landside team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee transport operations while adhering to budgetary constraints to guarantee the effective delivery of ongoing services.
- Ensure safety and compliance within the internal transport group, adhering to relevant regulations.
- Coordinate the execution of transport functions for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Plan and supervise customer deliveries to ensure compliance with service level agreements.
- Guarantee accuracy in invoicing from a transport perspective for both receivables and payables.
- Serve as the primary contact and super user for the Transport Management System (TMS) during implementation projects.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to all direct reports.
- Manage the onboarding process for new team members and ensure ongoing training requirements are fulfilled for existing staff.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a transport-related position.
- Demonstrated experience in managing frontline operations is preferred.
- Familiarity with Transport Management Systems.
- Knowledge of the container transport sector.
- Strong understanding of Chain of Responsibility principles.
- Familiarity with Container Chain and 1-Stop systems is advantageous.
- Effective planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to lead a team to achieve outcomes aligned with business goals and expectations.
