This position will report to the Regional Operations Manager – Portables and will hold direct accountability for the continuous performance and success of the operational sectors of Customer Service and Transport at the Sydney Portables Branch (Erskine Park).

This is a pivotal leadership role at one of our premier branches, overseeing a substantial budget and workforce.

Safety Responsibilities:

  • Champion the necessary enhancements in the Branch's safety performance.
  • Propel lead indicators and foster active participation rates to elevate safe practices and risk awareness among teams.
Team Engagement:

  • Motivate and guide the operational team to devise and implement improvement strategies collaboratively.
  • Consistently ensure the development of your team to meet established objectives through training and talent management.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to maintain alignment and mutual respect.
Customer Service & Financial Outcomes:

  • Mentor and support the operational teams to achieve set targets for revenue, costs, profit before tax, and customer satisfaction.
  • Formulate strategies for potential network enhancements and concentrate on supply chain optimization.
  • Maintain strict oversight of key performance indicators, particularly focusing on labor costs, maintenance efficiencies, and transport expenses across the branch.

Qualifications for the Role:

  • Relevant and transferable experience in Modular Buildings, Equipment Rental, and/or Transport/Logistics
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to set objectives and gain strategic buy-in from all organizational levels.
  • Experience in fostering a robust safety culture within a diverse team.
  • Proven history of enhancing safety lead and lag indicators.
  • Ability to manage and improve KPIs while meeting budget and forecast commitments.
  • Strong business acumen and empathy.
