Electrical Protection Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Protection Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing protection schemes for high-voltage and medium-voltage substations, transmission, and distribution networks.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, with experience in protection coordination, SCADA integration, fault diagnosis, and root cause analysis of HV/MV equipment.

A bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field is required, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop protection schemes using industry software (ETAP, PowerFactory, DigSILENT).
  • Prepare and review relay protection settings, logic diagrams, and scheme drawings in compliance with AS/NZS standards.
  • Liaise with utilities, EPC contractors, and OEMs for protection equipment selection and configuration.
  • Provide technical input for tendering and project proposals.
  • Review factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance test (SAT) procedures from a protection perspective.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong background in protection coordination, SCADA integration, fault diagnosis, and root cause analysis of HV/MV equipment.
  • Ability to stay updated with the latest advancements in electrical engineering technologies and best practices.
