Key Responsibilities">

The Chief Engineer is responsible for overseeing the entire engineering operations of the hotel's systems, plant and equipment. This includes managing departmental team members and ensuring efficient use of resources to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

  • Implementing and maintaining a preventative maintenance program to ensure all equipment and facilities are in good working order.
  • Monitoring and coordinating services performed by outside contractors in accordance with contracts and service agreements.
  • Collaborating with departments like Housekeeping and Front Office to ensure seamless operations.
  • Planning, implementing and administering effective preventive maintenance programs.
  • Ensuring the hotel complies with local codes and regulations related to safety and environmental standards.

Job Requirements:

  • Electrical, Plumbing or Mechanical trade qualification.
  • Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering.
  • Motivated, self-driven individual with a passion for delivering consistency.
  • Flexibility with rostering and availability 24/7 in case of an emergency.
  • High communication and collaborative skills.
