Lead Account Director Role

This is a high-profile contract position where you will lead a team of professionals and drive business growth for a leading client. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of key client relationships, collaborating closely with internal teams to deliver innovative media strategies.

As a seasoned executive, you will leverage your expertise in media planning, budgeting, and financial management to unlock new opportunities for your clients' businesses. Your passion for delivering results and building strong client relationships will be essential in driving success in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the team using industry-leading processes to create cutting-edge media strategies and executions
  • Play a key role in strategic development workshops with clients and partners, driving business outcomes and growth
  • Conduct in-depth assessments of all communication options, leveraging research tools to deliver actionable insights and recommendations
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including external partners, to share information and drive business success
  • Report on competitive, consumer, and market data to deliver valuable insights and inform future recommendations
  • Present detailed communications plans to clients, outlining strategy, implementation planning, execution, sponsorship considerations, and budget management
  • Monitor and report on agency KPIs, ensuring operational excellence and business growth
  • Understand and drive commercial arrangements with clients, promoting additional services and capabilities
  • Ensure financial and operational excellence across your team, providing effective leadership and management
  • Deliver exceptional client service that drives business growth and builds long-term relationships
Requirements
  • Ambitious leader with a track record of success in high-performance environments
  • Broad experience and ongoing learning across media planning, traditional, digital, tech, analytics, strategy, comms planning, and sponsorship
  • Expertise in channel and implementation planning, with a focus on online and offline channels
  • Strong budget and financial management skills, with a focus on driving business growth
  • Ability to understand client brands, business performance, brand health, and media effectiveness
  • Capacity to translate insights into recommended communication initiatives
  • Impeccable attention to detail and on-time delivery, with a passion for delivering results
  • Experience managing direct reports and developing their skills, with a focus on leadership and talent development
  • Proactive thinker, exploring new approaches while respecting proven processes
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team at Account Director level
