Apprentice Maintenance Carpenter Role

We are seeking a motivated individual to fill our apprentice maintenance carpenter position. This role offers the opportunity to learn the trade through hands-on maintenance and repairs of city assets.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Learners will gain practical experience in maintenance and repairs, developing skills in using hand and power tools, reading maintenance plans, and working safely in occupied buildings.
  • Specific tasks include repairing doors, windows, and fixtures, replacing damaged timber, installing and repairing parkland furniture and equipment, fencing, and minor concreting works.

To support their learning, successful applicants will complete a Certificate III in Carpentry course at Shellharbour TAFE.
