Apprentice Greenkeeper Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our golf course team as a greenkeeper apprentice. In this role, you will have the chance to gain practical skills and knowledge in maintaining the Links Shell Cove golf course.

The golf course is known for its beautiful landscape and friendly atmosphere, making it an enjoyable experience for golfers of all skill levels.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
  • You will support the Course Maintenance Team and contribute to the delivery of the objectives for the Links Golf Course.
  • You will complete a Certificate III in Sports Turf Management Course at Yallah TAFE to gain and develop practical knowledge and skills associated with the presentation of our city.

  • You will receive on-the-job training and compulsory course costs will be paid by Council.

Requirements and Application
  • You must complete a Pre-placement Medical examination prior to commencement.
  • You must obtain a General Construction Induction Card (White Card) before starting work.
About This Opportunity

This apprenticeship covers theoretical and practical requirements of on-the-job and off-the-job training. After completing your apprenticeship, you will have formal qualifications and four years of practical experience with the ability to gain additional tickets such as Medium Ridge (MR) truck licence, forklift ticket, loader competency and more.
