About the Role

The State Government of Victoria, Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Child Protection Practitioner to join our team. As a Senior Child Protection Practitioner, you will play a critical role in supporting and developing Child Protection Practitioners in the integration of theory and practice.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Risk Assessment and Analysis: Gather information through various sources and technologies to identify, articulate, and plan for risks related to each situation. Apply a strong forensic lens and professional judgment to analyze the available evidence.
  2. Case Planning Review and Case Management: Draw insights from assessment and analysis to formulate a meaningful and effective case plan. Review case progress and outcomes, and coordinate and lead the planning, review, and management of casework within the department and across other agencies and services.
  3. Critical Enquiry: Use evidence-based frameworks to investigate issues and understand the root cause of each issue as well as the potential implications.
Requirements

This position requires a valid Working with Children Check. The department strongly recommends that employees maintain their COVID-19 vaccination status in accordance with current ATAGI advice, given their individual circumstances.
