Housing Specialist Role Overview

This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of women and their children by providing stable and affordable housing solutions. We seek a highly skilled professional who will contribute to shaping and achieving our vision and goals.

Our team delivers culturally safe and effective housing solutions, prioritizing the unique needs of our clients. As a key member of our team, the Housing Tenancy Officer will work across the Brisbane and Logan region to deliver supported accommodation and support clients in maintaining tenancy.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strategies to improve stable housing and family/individual ability to maintain a tenancy, budget, and advocate.
  • Deliver consistent and quality customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage tenant queries and concerns, conduct regular property inspections, and resolve tenant complaints and appeals.
  • Conduct financial assessments, manage individual financial targets, and reduce rental arrears and debt.

Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess a current Diploma or Certificate qualification in Social Work, Human Services, Social Science, Health, Allied Health, Youth Work, Community Services, Family Intervention, or Criminology with relevant experience in social services. At least 1 year of experience in a tenancy management role is required.
