The role of a Speech Therapy Specialist is to work collaboratively with individuals, families, and multidisciplinary teams to assess, diagnose, and treat complex speech and language disorders. A key responsibility includes developing personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify underlying speech and language issues in clients across various age groups and backgrounds.
- Design and implement evidence-based treatment plans that cater to individual client requirements.
- Maintain accurate records of client progress and treatment outcomes, using this data to inform future adjustments to treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate effectively with families, educators, and healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive support network for clients.
- Develop strong analytical skills to track client progress and provide detailed reports on treatment outcomes.
- Hold a Bachelor of Speech Pathology or Bachelor of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology degree.
- Pursue post-graduation qualifications for added advantage.
- Meet certification requirements: IELTS score of 8.0 or above (mandatory for consideration).
- Have a minimum of 2 years of work experience in speech therapy (consideration may be given to fresher applicants with an IELTS score of 8.0 or higher).
- Demonstrate advanced fluency in English.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Display a collaborative mindset to work effectively with families and interdisciplinary teams.
- Enthusiastic, compassionate, and patient in approach.
