Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist Job Opportunity

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join our dedicated team. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for delivering high-quality care to children and young people with speech, language, and communication needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the needs of service users are met through the delivery of expert assessment and intervention services. This includes working collaboratively in various settings, such as patients' homes, schools, nurseries, family hubs, or clinics.

  • Undertake assessments in clinical settings using formal, informal, observational, and play-based tools.
  • Implement evidence-based care and interventions, demonstrating a sound knowledge of the latest research and treatment options.
  • Maintain an early years and school-aged caseload, providing professional advice and guidance to patients, carers, and colleagues within education.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of clinical governance and risk management, as well as experience in developing a continuous improvement and evidence-based culture within the service. They will also possess excellent communication skills, able to convey complex information effectively to patients, carers, and colleagues.

Key Requirements:
  • Accredited Speech and Language Therapy qualification (BSc)
  • Registration with the relevant Registering Body (e.g., HCPC)
  • Member of the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists (RCSLT)
  • Postgraduate training/qualification in Dysphagia
