Job Description

As a senior mechanical engineer in the asset performance team, you will lead technical delivery on projects focused on existing buildings. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing advice and design solutions for compliance, upgrades, efficiency, and optimisation.

You will work closely with building owners and managers, becoming a trusted advisor for asset management. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and mentoring junior engineers
  • Managing multiple concurrent projects
  • Liaising with clients and stakeholders
  • Contributing to team development and market presence

The primary focus of these projects is on commercial office sectors, with opportunities also available in health, defence, and other sectors.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical building services design
  • Strong experience with HVAC systems, BMS, and controls
  • Proven ability to lead projects from concept to delivery
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering
  • RPEQ or equivalent registration
  • Experience with other disciplines (electrical, fire, hydraulics) is desirable
