About the Role

Mercy Community Aged Care Services, a Catholic not-for-profit organization, is seeking passionate and dedicated Aged Care and Disability Support Professionals to join their team on a Permanent Part-Time basis. The successful candidates will be based at one of our Aged Care Facilities in Leinster Place (Park Avenue) or Bethany/McAuley (The Range), covering Morning and Afternoon shifts, Monday to Sunday.

As an integral part of our care team, you will provide support to our residents, working closely with Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, and senior care staff members. Our Aged Care Facilities operate 24/7, ensuring our residents receive the best possible care for their ongoing living needs.

This role involves:

  • Maintaining a welcoming home environment that encourages residents to engage in activities of their choice
  • Ensuring safe and appropriate equipment usage, prioritizing resident comfort and safety
  • Providing assistance with personal hygiene tasks, such as showering, continence, bedding, and clothing
  • Monitoring residents' conditions and reporting any changes to the Registered Nurse

About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Studying or completed a Cert III or higher qualification related to Aged Care or Disability
  • Availability to work Monday to Sunday, with flexible shift times: Morning (0645-1445 or 0645-1500) and Afternoon (1500-2230 or 1500-2100 or 1600-2100)
