
In-House Employment Law Expert

Senior employment law professionals are sought after to lead the way in industrial relations matters, protecting employees and providing strategic counsel. Ideal candidates have 8+ years PQE experience in employment law with a track record of managing complex WHS/OHS, appearing at the Fair Work Commission, and handling unfair dismissal claims.
This role involves working closely with internal stakeholders, advising on workplace investigations, defending claims, and collaborating with legal peers. Strong communication skills, commercial acumen, and flexibility are essential qualities for this senior position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage industrial relations matters including WHS/OHS and appearance work at the Fair Work Commission
- Provide strategic counsel on employment law matters
- Handle general protection and unfair dismissal claims
- Support claims defence and compliance programs
Requirements:
- At least 8+ years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in employment law
- Strong experience in industrial relations matters, WHS/OHS, and employment law
- Commercial, proactive, and flexible mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
