The Role
Our client, Kennedy Reid, a leading Third Party Claims Administrator in Australia, is seeking an experienced Specialty Claims Consultant with a background in Medical negligence, medical malpractice, complex liability, professional indemnity, health or travel claims to join their professional team.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of complex claims end to end, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Gather evidence and determine liability on complex and contentious claims, providing support and advice to policy holders, key claimants, and stakeholders.
- Liaise with stakeholders, including doctors, nurses, lawyers, litigation specialists, and claimants, to ensure seamless communication and resolution.
- Understand policy wordings and apply knowledge to inform claims decisions.
- Work from home with flexibility, with head office in Sydney, and participate in team environments, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience handling Medical Negligence, Medical Malpractice, Professional Indemnity, Liability, Health, or Travel claims.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work to deadlines, and understand operational processes and procedures.
- Experience in managing claims and stakeholders effectively, with a team-centric approach to work.
- Exceptional organizational skills and great communication skills.
