The role primarily conducts investigations within a multidisciplinary environment.
Investigations focus on Category A misconduct reports and adhere to the Response & Investigations Framework.
Effective planning and delivery of investigations are essential.
Misconduct reports across global operations are investigated in accordance with the Response & Investigations Framework.
Employees exercise mature judgement while managing concurrent investigations, prioritizing personal wellbeing and organizational risk.
Strong relationships are initiated, built and maintained within Ethics and Investigations, as well as across the organization.
A culture of trust and collaboration is fostered with Assets and Functions to create a learning environment and identify improvement opportunities for future investigations.
A trauma-informed approach is maintained during investigations, ensuring support for all parties involved in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
Insights and feedback are shared during team meetings, while also collaborating with colleagues across the broader External Affairs function.
- Criminal, regulatory, corporate or government workplace investigations experience is required.
- Demonstrated analytical, organisational, and oral and written communication skills are necessary.
- A degree in law, investigations or related field (or extensive relevant equivalent experience) is required.
- Formal recognised investigation, evidence gathering and interview training is mandatory.
- Experience in conducting serious and medium complexity investigations is necessary.
- Corporate or multinational environment experience, preferably in the resources sector, is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously is required.
