Virology Research Associate - Part Time Position
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of research experts in virology, working on projects that aim to eliminate infectious diseases globally. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of health solutions for at-risk communities.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct molecular virology research, including whole genome sequencing for viral pathogens and sequence computing analysis
- Work in diagnostic laboratory and applied research settings
- Collaborate with a diverse range of students and staff to achieve research excellence
- Publish high-quality research outcomes and present at conferences
- PhD in virology or molecular biology (or equivalent)
- Demonstrated research experience in molecular virology, diagnostic laboratory and applied research
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
