Our organization seeks an experienced professional to join our Welfare and Engagement Team. As an Activity Officer, you will be responsible for developing and managing programs and activities that cater to the diverse needs of individuals in our care.

We are committed to providing a safe and supportive environment that promotes positive behavior and enhances the mental health and wellbeing of detainees. This role requires a flexible and adaptable individual who can work effectively in a complex and dynamic environment.

  • Certificate III in sports and recreation, social/community work or learning and development
  • Diploma level in social work, community services, counselling or related field
  • Qualification or experience in therapeutic interventions such as cognitive behavioral therapy or trauma-informed practice
  • Other qualifications or relevant experience in program delivery for adults or children
  • Minimum 2 years' experience managing structured programs and activities
  • Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse groups
  • Understanding of risk management principles
  • Current Australian Federal Police Clearance
  • HLTAID009 Provide CPR and HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certificates
  • Unrestricted current Drivers Licence
