Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate professional to join our team as an Activity Officer. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for designing and delivering engaging programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of individuals in immigration detention.

Your primary goal will be to enhance the mental health and wellbeing of detainees through meaningful activities, ensuring a positive impact on their lives. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop and implement structured and unstructured programs, providing educational and recreational opportunities for detainees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, plan, manage, and deliver programs and activities that meet the diverse needs of detainees.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve shared goals.
  • Maintain current certifications, including Australian Federal Police Clearance and Working with Children Certificate.
  • Hold HLTAID009 Provide CPR and HLTAID011 Provide First Aid certificates.
  • Possess an unrestricted current Driver's Licence.
