**Fitness Program Coordinator**

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Fitness Program Coordinator to support the health and wellbeing of detainees through structured fitness programs.

The successful applicant will play a key role in supporting the health and wellbeing of detainees at an Immigration Detention Facility. They will design and deliver tailored individual and group fitness programs that cater to varying fitness levels, ages, and health conditions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting gym inductions and identifying health risks to ensure detainees' safety
  • Developing and delivering structured and unstructured fitness programs for individuals and groups
  • Promoting safe and correct use of fitness equipment and ensuring equipment is maintained and sanitized
  • Conducting other activities with detainees such as sports and recreation
  • Monitoring and auditing fitness equipment to ensure availability and safe operation

To be successful in this role, you'll have:

  • Certificate III in Fitness or equivalent qualification
  • Fitness registration
  • First Aid and CPR qualifications, with at least 2 months validity (or ability to obtain)
  • Working With Childrens Check
  • Experience in managing and conducting fitness programs, ideally in diverse environments
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse individuals
