About Our Cemetery Care Role

This role is responsible for maintaining clean and attractive cemeteries for the community. It involves a range of tasks associated with cemetery maintenance, including cleaning, chemical treatment and presentation.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Place, remove and replace slopers and granite plaques on walls and in scatter gardens.
  • Prepare sites for ash burials and assist with interment into Columbarium walls.
  • Litter collection, removal of broken items and cleansing of public spaces.
  • Cleaning of granite plaques on Columbarium Walls.
  • Monitor and arrange for topping up of graves.
  • Blow down pathways prior to burials.
  • Other duties as specified.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role.
  • School Certificate or equivalent.
  • Drivers Licence (Class C).
  • Chemical Safety Accreditation AQF3.
  • Traffic Controller.
  • First Aid Certificate (Desirable).
