Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled professional to fill a Communications Officer role.

This full-time position will cover a 12-month parental leave period, working 35 hours per week. The ideal candidate will create clear, inclusive, and engaging communications for multicultural communities.

  • Develop multilingual content such as pamphlets, information sheets, videos with in-language subtitles, and social media campaigns.
  • Promote Council programs and services through community radio, multicultural newspapers, and digital channels.
  • Collaborate with community members, groups, and internal teams to shape communication strategies that reflect the needs of diverse communities.
  • Support projects across the organization to ensure multilingual communications are included in planning.
  • Help track and report on the impact of our communications.

Key qualifications include:

  • Tertiary qualification or relevant work experience.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting communications initiatives and campaigns.
  • Proven ability to work with multicultural and multilingual communities.

The successful candidate will have a strong ability to use initiative and be proactive in community outreach.
