About the Opportunity

We are seeking an Electrical Drafter to join our team, focusing on electrical design and drafting in the building technology space. The successful candidate will work closely with our Engineers to produce results that meet high standards and regulations.

The Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this role, you should possess excellent technical knowledge of AutoCAD and other relevant software tools. Proven experience in a similar position is essential, along with exceptional communication skills and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Create detailed concept design drawing packages for tender, construction, and as-built projects
  • Prepare electrical designs, including plans, wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, and electrical equipment layouts
  • Interpret plans, regulations, and codes of practice to ensure design tasks meet technical standards and client requirements
  • Collaborate with Engineers to gather and understand information needed to deliver clean and effective drawings
  • Ensure accuracy of drawings, especially title blocks, drawing numbers, notes, etc
  • Estimate materials quantities and collaborate with the Engineering Team to develop Bills of Materials for projects
  • Maintain document control in line with standard operating procedures
  • Support Engineers with the development of designs and drawings

Required Skills and Qualifications

A degree in Engineering or a related field is highly regarded. Impeccable computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office are also essential. Current Australian driver's licence is a must.

Bonus

Experience in building automation industry (Building Management System, Energy Management System, Automation System) is highly regarded. Experiences in Revit - minimum 2 years preferable.
