Job Title:

Property Asset Program Manager

About the Role:

This position is responsible for overseeing the development and management of a program of work to design, plan, coordinate, and deliver projects for land and building assets across Sydney Water's property portfolio. The key focus will be on aligning with asset lifecycle objectives, particularly those involving construction, fit-outs, upgrades to accommodation and amenities, and ensuring building compliance.

  • Responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of property-related projects, including planning, task coordination, and delivery.
  • Develop and update detailed Project Management Plans with clear goals, timelines, risks, costs, and deliverables that meet business needs.
  • Prepare business cases, track progress, report on KPIs, and ensure post-project reviews are completed with outcomes shared across the team.
  • Maintain quality, safety, environmental, and industrial relations plans while balancing resources across multiple projects.
  • Hold regular meetings with service providers, track and close out defects, and manage contract variations to keep everything on track.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Candidates should ideally hold a relevant degree qualification (property, engineering or similar) and hold membership of Engineers Australia or a similar body.

  • 10+ years' experience working in design and construction, and/or project management.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing the delivery of multi-disciplinary infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in managing various forms of commercial arrangements, dealing with local and other government authorities to drive 'value for money' outcomes.
