Commercial Contract Director

As a senior contract manager, you will play a pivotal role in the effective management of commercial and contractual obligations for our clients. This role involves ensuring that all contract obligations are met, the performance management framework is implemented, and commercial performance is driven.
About the Role:
- The successful candidate will be responsible for interpreting contractual terms and conditions, leading/supporting pricing indexation, extensions, variations, audits and negotiations.
- You will oversee the P&L and balance sheet for the contract, including customer invoicing, P&L oversight, forecasting and budget management, and financial reporting.
- Ongoing monitoring of all suppliers/subcontractors will be required to ensure all subcontractor agreements reflect prime contract requirements and appropriate terms flow-down.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Lifecycle Management: Interpret contractual terms and conditions, lead/support pricing indexation, extensions, variations, audits and negotiations.
- Financial Management: Oversee the P&L and balance sheet for the contract, including customer invoicing, P&L oversight, forecasting and budget management, and financial reporting.
- Supplier/Subcontractor Management: Onboard and monitor all suppliers/subcontractors to ensure compliance with prime contract requirements.
Requirements:
- Significant experience gained in senior commercial or contract management roles for complex networks.
- Tertiary qualifications in Law, Business, Commerce, or Contract Management.
- Australian citizenship and eligibility for an Australian AGSVA Security Clearance.
- Strong commercial acumen, contract interpretation, negotiation, and commercial risk assessment skills.
- High-level communication and stakeholder management.
- Proficiency with contract management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
