Quality Assurance Cabling Lead

Job Overview

The Quality Assurance Cabling Lead oversees a team of QA Engineers, establishing and maintaining exceptional quality standards for data center network deployments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a diverse team of QA Engineers and Data Center Auditors
  • Design and oversee comprehensive quality control systems, including inspection mechanisms and performance metrics
  • Collaborate with network design teams and vendors to develop installation standards
  • Manage end-to-end quality metrics, risk management, and preventative measures
  • Drive continuous improvement through data-driven process optimization
  • Conduct regular site audits and develop remediation strategies
  • Serve as the primary quality assurance subject matter expert for cabling and hardware installations

About the Role

The Quality Assurance Cabling Lead will be part of a dynamic team that prepares, plans, and builds the data centers comprising the cloud infrastructure. This team drives continuous improvement of AWS Data Centers to provide efficient and reliable infrastructure to customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 5+ years of management/team lead function experience
  • 3+ years in a data center technology role or experience with network pathway infrastructure systems
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams with excellent communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
