Lead Quality Assurance Specialist

This is a dynamic and rapidly growing product development team where you'll have the opportunity to lead and shape a brand-new Verification & Validation department.

As the Lead Quality Assurance Specialist, you'll be responsible for building and managing a dedicated team, ensuring the highest standards of quality and reliability for cutting-edge electro/mechanical/software devices and systems.

About the Role
  • Manage a fast-growing team of quality assurance professionals, implement new processes, ensure a high level of quality in traceability and reporting, and provide guidance, direction, and training where needed.
  • Work closely with other managers across R&D and be responsible for all quality objectives across the development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
  • Proven experience in quality assurance, with a strong background in management and team leadership.
  • Expertise in setting up a quality assurance department/team from scratch, including planning and managing the setup and installation of a new department.
  • Hands-on approach to leading test teams, both internally and with external manufacturing partners, ensuring the quality and reliability of equipment and sub-assemblies.
  • Proficiency in calibrating new equipment and utilising software tools for product testing and protocols.
Requirements
  • Strategic planning and experience in leading a team in a fast-paced, agile environment.
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronic, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related technical discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in the engineering and manufacturing sector, with a focus on electro/mechanical/software devices or systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt and compromise without compromising quality.
