Senior Performance Media Strategist

The Role

Havas Media Australia's Sydney team is seeking a Senior Performance Media Strategist to drive the success of performance-oriented media accounts. You will be responsible for creating and implementing strategies across paid search and social channels, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

As a key member of our team, you will oversee the end-to-end setup, optimization, and delivery of performance media-based campaigns for prominent brands in Australia. You will leverage industry-leading technology and audience data to drive return on ad spend (ROAS) for our clients.

The ideal candidate will possess a passion for driving results, a collaborative mindset, and a desire to continually evolve our approach to drive meaningful growth for clients. You will be an experienced and exceptionally talented individual who is passionate about making media drive results for clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and manage day-to-day running of paid search and social accounts for clients
  • Ensure all accounts are set up to adhere to best practices and restructure inherited accounts where necessary
  • Strong budget management skills to avoid underspend/overspend
  • Forecast accurately expected performance of campaigns for clients

Account Management

  • Manage the overall client performance media programs for a designated portfolio, including day-to-day client relationship and the efficient and effective implementation of strategy

Implementation

  • Work with the team to create exceptional and holistic digital media plans, rooted in campaign business objectives, across paid search and social
  • Accountable for end-to-end delivery of performance campaigns against targets
  • Provide performance reporting and in-depth insights on a weekly basis

Optimization

  • Work closely with the Analytics team to ensure that all campaigns are being run and tested with the rigor needed to gain appropriate learnings
  • Strive to identify improvements beyond SEM
  • Highlight opportunities for innovation and improvement on the client account through media, marketing, creative, technological, or process change

Team Development

  • Mentoring and guidance of junior team members, taking responsibility for their growth and development
  • Completion of junior team member performance reviews and KPI tracking
