The Role of Performance Director

We're seeking a talented and enthusiastic individual to join our OpenDoor team as a Performance Director. This is a full-time position based in Sydney, playing a crucial part in supporting WPP's mission to deliver consistency, delivery excellence, and best-in-class service for Amazon in every country across its diverse businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leverage your leadership skills to direct the performance team, taking overall responsibility for direction, workflow, and quality of implementation planning and buying.
  • Hold regular performance evaluation meetings with direct reports, setting smart goals and creating clear career development plans.
  • Analyze training needs to ensure alignment with career progression, responsible for the training and development of all team members.
  • Nurture strong relationships with Amazon's Marketing team at a senior level.
  • Provide innovative strategic insights as an expert on Amazon's business, industry, and competitors.
  • Develop and execute data-driven marketing campaigns across multiple Amazon businesses, constructing and presenting robust implementation plans grounded in Amazon's strategic priorities.
  • Create future-fit, market-leading performance strategies for Amazon to fuel their growth.
  • Utilize WPP Open and other cutting-edge tools to demonstrate confident knowledge of media planning principles.
  • Ensure seamless campaign delivery across the Performance function to achieve outstanding results.
  • Engage with media partners to build understanding of the media landscape, challenging the status quo offered by platforms.
  • Maintain accuracy in financial and compliance processes, including bookings and loadings.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, particularly in Social, Programmatic, and e-Commerce.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 9-15 years of experience in the Marketing and Media industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and a data-driven mindset.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • A passion for innovation and a desire to challenge industry norms.
  • Experience leading teams in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Passion for the Media industry, particularly in Social, Programmatic, e-Commerce, Data & Technology.

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools and techniques.

Salary: AU$140,000 - AU$180,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
