Financial Management Specialist Role

We are seeking a Financial Management Specialist to provide day-to-day financial management advice to executives, leadership team, and board members. This role will cover paternity leave and focus on financial analysis and expertise.

The successful applicant will demonstrate a professional understanding of financial reporting outcomes, quality financial reporting, forecasting, and modelling. They will be able to identify, analyse, and manage financial risk, provide mitigation strategies, and develop responses.

This is an EL1 APS level position with immediate start and 37.5 hours per week contract. The hourly rate is $67-$73 plus super PAYG.

Key Requirements

">
  • Tertiary qualification in accounting or finance, including CA/CPA Program or equivalent experience.
  • Technical knowledge and/or experience in management accounting, reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and project accounting in the government sector.
  • Able to exercise initiative, agility, and flexibility under minimal supervision.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to team members, fostering open communication and collaboration.
  • High level of Microsoft Office, SAP, and SAP Analytics Cloud skills.
  • Australian citizenship and baseline government security clearance required.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or medical exemption.
