Business Development Support Specialist
About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Business Development Support Specialist to play a key role in driving business growth and development across various service lines, sectors, and strategic initiatives.
This specialist will work closely with the broader Business Development team, Clients & Market (C&M), and other relevant stakeholders to foster a business development culture within the firm.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Business Development team achieve national and local objectives through several growth initiatives, providing insights for new and existing accounts, and helping to identify and convert leads.
Key Accountabilities:- Develop and support BD objectives, plans, and activities as required; collaborate with national and local BD teams in their plan development for assigned growth areas; align with the firms GTM framework.
- Action growth initiatives from plans for both local growth priority areas and national strategic growth areas; coordinate with relevant stakeholders and BD (local and national) and C&M teams.
- Support cross-service account management by providing data and insights; collaborate with the broader BD team or relevant stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on growth of local and national priority areas; assist in building pipeline for stakeholders; collaborate with stakeholders and the broader BD and C&M team.
- Pursue growth initiatives for the firm both nationally and locally; collaborate with local stakeholders and the broader BD (local and national) and C&M team.
- Identify, develop, and convert leads in line with local/national growth priority area's quality client criteria.
- Provide coaching and mentoring by linking individuals to resources and creating a foundation for BDO's BD culture.
- Bachelor's degree in business, commerce, marketing, finance, or a related field.
- A self-starter who is organised, confident, detail-oriented, analytical, and well-structured in their approach to projects and initiatives.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Power BI.
- Experience in business development and client relationship management roles within professional services is highly regarded.
