About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Leading Hand to join our production team on a full-time, permanent basis. As part of a brand new reinforced concrete pipe plant in the final stages of construction, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of production KPIs.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the team in understanding and implementing current safe operating procedures.
  • Implement continuous improvement activities to reduce downtime and costs of production.
  • Advise stakeholders of any potential problems and report them accordingly.

  • A competitive salary of $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.

About You
  • Fitter/maintenance qualifications or experience in steel welding & fabrication is an advantage.
  • Forklift license advantageous but not essential.
  • Sound planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead a team with good people and team-building skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team workshop environment.
  • A proactive approach to safety, hazards, and risk management.
