About This Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join our production team on a full-time, permanent basis. Located in the Clarence valley, this is an opportunity to become a part of a brand new reinforced concrete pipe plant.

As a Leading Hand, you will be responsible for assisting the team in delivering our production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by ensuring safe operating procedures are implemented and continuous improvement activities are conducted to minimize downtime and costs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the team in achieving production targets
  • Implement safe operating procedures and continuous improvement activities
  • Lead by example in regards to safety protocols

About You

  • Fitter / mechanical qualifications or experience in steel welding & fabrication is an advantage
  • Forklift license advantage but not essential
  • Sound planning and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead a team with good people and team-building skills
  • A high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Follow company policies and procedures
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team workshop environment
  • A proactive approach to safety, hazards, and risk management
