Grafton, New South Wales, Australia Holcim Full time

About this role

As a key member of our production team, we are seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join us on a full-time, permanent basis. Located in the beautiful Clarence valley, approximately 5 minutes north of Grafton NSW, you will be part of a brand new reinforced concrete pipe plant that is currently under construction.

This opportunity allows you to lead a small, close-knit team with a family-like environment and contribute to the delivery of our production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). You will play a crucial role in ensuring our team understands and implements current safe operating procedures, while continuously improving activities to reduce downtime and costs.

You will be responsible for advising stakeholders of any potential issues and reporting them accordingly. Your approach to safety should set an example for the rest of the team, as maintaining a safe working environment is paramount.

We are looking for someone who can lead by example and possess excellent people and team-building skills. A high attention to detail and accuracy, along with sound planning and problem-solving abilities, are essential qualities we require. The ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a workshop environment is also vital.

Our ideal candidate has experience in steel welding and fabrication, or holds Fitter/Mechanical qualifications. A Forklift license is advantageous but not necessary. If you have a proactive approach to safety, hazards, and risk management, we encourage you to apply.

The successful applicant will enjoy a variety of benefits, including above-average awards, additional super contributions, RDOs, and access to mental health first aiders and employee assistance programs. Our supportive and diverse management style sets realistic targets and goals, allowing individuals to thrive in a culture focused on recognizing effort and rewarding achievement.
