About this opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Leading Hand to join our production team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an exciting chance to be part of a brand new reinforced concrete pipe plant that is nearing completion in the Clarence Valley, Grafton NSW.

The ideal candidate will have fitter/mechanical qualifications or experience in steel welding & fabrication. A forklift license would be an advantage but not essential. The successful applicant will be expected to lead the team with good people and team building skills, ensure safe operating procedures are implemented, and contribute to continuous improvement activities.

This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a small team environment with a family-like atmosphere. You will be responsible for advising stakeholders of any problems you foresee and reporting them. A high level of attention to detail and accuracy is required, as well as the ability to work autonomously and in a team workshop environment.

The salary for this position is estimated to be around $80,000 - $100,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of employee benefits, including above average award pay, additional super contributions, RDOs, and a supportive management team.

Requirements:

  • Fitter/machanical qualifications or experience
  • Steel welding & fabrication experience (advantage)
